Deceiving Update - DO NOT Download

I was an avid user & fan of this app up until I downloaded the latest update (March 3016)which cited only bug fixes. Now they want to charge an annual fee of have to put-up w/ ads? Poor taste on behalf of the developer for those of us who had already purchased the app now wanting a subscription fee as well.

Pay again for longtime users

Update - I loved this app but with this 2016 update, you seriously have alot of nerve! I PAID for this app years ago and now you have me as Expired and Im stuck with ads???????

NOT IMPRESSED!!

I bought this app years ago and have loved it and raved to others about it. And now you bring in ads, from a paid app??? Ridiculous!!! Im so not impressed!

No more photos of items.

I originally paid for this app and I was happy to do so, but now I also have to purchase a subscription? Sounds a little greedy to me. I used this app almost daily for a number of years. Ive spent considerable time and effort building my personal shopping lists. Very disappointed. Im going to look for a new app to replace this one. Too bad because it was very good at one time. I recommended it o all my friends and even bought it as a gift for a few. Also, not sure if its a glitch or not but, what happened to my photos? I like to have photos of my grocery items so I can be sure I am getting the right brand or item option, but now they are gone. It doesnt matter though...Im gone too.

Ads in a paid app? Really?

This USED to be a good app, but now the interface is cluttered with photo icons (not a bad idea but it should be a setting - I already know what my toothpaste looks like) and worse - ads. I paid for this app, and you have broken the long-standing understand that paid apps do not have ads!!! Bad, bad, bad.

Dont waste your money.

I just PAID for the upgraded app in January 2016 and now have to put up with ads unless I pay more. Contacted customer service and this was the response: "In order to enable Grocery Gadget with continued improvements and customer support, we have had to add ads and subscriptions. We hope you understand and keep on using Grocery Gadget." Im afraid I do not understand supporting a loyal customer.

This subscription rubbish is back?

How about refunding all the people that paid for the app to remove the ads before this subscription BS? The subscription model does not work.

Paid for no adds - now has adds

Paid for the "no-adds" version over the free one with adds when first downloaded. Now this updates brings adds back with a monthly subscription. Total ripoff.

Ads-free version with ads!

Great app. Worth 5 stars when I bought it. However, Instead of using the free (ads-based) version, I chose to pay to get the ads-free one (this one) and now I get ads again. If you want to change your business model, go ahead but start over as a separate app with the new business model and leave the app we bought like it was. There are currently not enough updates bringing new features or bug fixes to justify paying a monthly fee, IMHO.

Excellent App

Use it at the cottage to remind us what is up there and what we need Great app for comparing prices

Great App

Been using this app for about 4 years and I love it! It syncs across all devices and you can share your list with other family members so you both know whats been bought or added to the list!

Great app!

I love this app. It does all that I need, including sharing across devices. I use it all the time.

Love it

Love this App!

Have to Pay Again?

I had paid for an ad free version a few years ago and now I have to pay again for an ad free version? NOT impressed.

Love this App!

My family has used this app since it first came out, and weve loved it. When we have 2 or three people in the grocery store, working from the same list, it makes the job go by so much quicker! No ads with this newest version is just icing on the cake!

Still a great app. Heres hoping the new business model helps the developer

Im a longtime user of the app, and was initially shocked to discover the change from ad-free to subscription. However, $1.39 a year is not unreasonable for an app I use everyday. The sync feature, ability to add images and pricing (per store) has been invaluable for me and my family. Im interested to know what else might be in store! My only suggestion to the developer is to communicate their plans for development on their website/twitter/etc. I think it would help justify the cost for people.

So Helpful

Its always great seeing what is needed for shopping and adding to the list when you remember something.

Great shopping ap

Love that we can share the lists.

Great app!

My wife and I can access the same list and add to different lists independently. My only complaint is that the optional photos that you can assign to a product get butchered on resolution within the app.

Great app

It gets easier and more handy the longer you use it.
