Untrustworthy developer

I paid for this app, it got steadily worse over time, and now they want me to buy a subscription to something I have already paid for (or get ads). No thanks! I’ll find something better.

There also seems to be no way to turn off the communication between the app and the developer’s servers. Even if you don’t want to use cloud features, the developer is mining your data.
